The Drexel Dragons will have a new head coach at the helm of the men’s basketball team next season, as today the university fired Bruiser Flint. Flint went 6-25 this season. Here’s more:

Flint spent 15 seasons as the Dragons’ head coach, compiling a record of 245-217 and no NCAA Tournament appearances.

This season, Drexel went 6-25 following an 11-19 record in 2014-15. After finishing 29-7 in 2011-12, which included a CAA regular-season championship and two NIT victories, Drexel has gone 46-76, leading to Flint’s ouster.

Flint was a four-time CAA Coach of the Year and thrice guided the Dragons to 20 or more wins as well as notching at least 10 CAA victories in nine of 15 seasons.

Drexel’s 2011-12 campaign was historical. The 29 wins were a program most — 19 of which came in succession, also a school record.

Flint sent out this Tweet thanking Drexel after the news broke.
