I was really getting over the fact that new school basketball players will never have the mentality of some of the former greats like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. Hell, with Kobe Bryant retiring at the end of the season, he may be the last of a dying breed. This new generation of stars likes to wear clothes fit for a female, take selfies and put friendship before competition.
LeBron James is a freak of nature and will go down as one of the greatest NBA players of all time. But there’s always been something that has rubbed me the wrong way about him. Maybe it’s because in a league of softies, his attitude seems to conform to soft behavior. Perhaps if he were to have played back in the day with players like Charles Oakley, Bill Lambier, etc., he would’ve been forced to conform to a league of men.
In any event, LeBron took to Instagram yesterday to make a post I guess to show how much of a man he is. I have to be honest, though. The first thought that came to my mind was, “Oh my God! I could see Donovan McNabb doing an Instagram post just like this.” That thought sickens me. Here’s the post courtesy of Bron Bron’s Instagram page.

I’m sorry, I don’t know why, but seeing that post makes me think about of some old school Donnie Mac.
Just in case LeBron smartens up and deletes that dumb post. Here’s what he said:
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! How many of you know working out all day after a back-to-back? I die for this dog! I live for it! Striving for greatness out here, cuz.”
Dude… STFU! Let your play speak for yourself and stop trying to prove your worth with your words. Nobody wants to hear it.
