The Doug Pederson quarterback tour continues Thursday when he works out Memphis’ Paxton Lynch, according to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

It’ll be the fourth quarterback in four days that Pederson will see. He worked out California’s Jared Goff Monday, Stanford’s Kevin Hogan Tuesday and North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz on Wednesday. Pederson admitted that he prefers individual workouts to Pro Days during last week’s NFC Coaches Breakfast. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie will also be in attendance as he’s been all week.
Lynch is considered by many to be the third best quarterback in the class. The 6-foot-7, 244-pounder threw for 3,778 yards with 28 touchdowns and four interceptions and ran for 239 yards and two scores in 2015 as a redshirt junior. Lynch’s lights-out performance in a win against Ole Miss put him on the map, but he struggled down the stretch with poor showings against Temple and Auburn in the Tigers’ bowl game.
Lynch has the strongest arm in the draft to go along with a tight delivery. He’s athletic for his size and can throw from both the pocket and from the move. He did, however, play in a gimmicky offense which featured a lot of screens and shorts passes. He’s not consistent with his feet, which cause some of his passes to be off target. He’s a raw project who might take longer to develop than any quarterback in the class.
