The newest Eagle, Carson Wentz, joined the WIP Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi today and talked about being drafted by the Eagles, being competitive, and more.
He said he was really excited to come to Philly, but also added he’s never been booed by his own fans. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha that’s funny because he’ll definitely be booed here. He also talked about breaking his wrist last season, causing a quarterback controversy after his replacement went 8-0 after Wentz went 4-2 in the first six games. Whether he’s the second overall pick in the draft or not, that has to weight on a football player, especially a starting quarterback in college. Wentz, whether he was lying or not, said that it didn’t bother him and he believes in his abilities.
So far, he’s saying all the right things. He wants to be consistent, and that seems to be what the quarterback position on this team has been lacking since McNabb’s prime. It was a great interview and officially introduced Wentz to Philly in great fashion.
