Sam Bradford reportedly is pissed the Eagles traded up in the draft. Because, you know, they’re pretty much going to draft his replacement. There are even rumors that Bradford will request to be traded. CSN’s Derrick Gunn, who’s usually buddy-buddy with almost everyone that plays for the Eagles, went in on Bradford last night on Quick Slants and pretty much said what the entire Eagles’ fan base should be thinking.
From what little we know of Sam Bradford is we get to talk to him, you know, several times a week during the course of the season and in training camp. I don’t think he’s the kind of guy that will be a problem in the locker room. If Sam Bradford is ticked off at anybody, he should be ticked off at himself for not living up to being the first overall pick back in the 2010 NFL Draft. He’s made a lot of money and has shown very little in terms of wanting to be that elite quarterback. And if you’re looking over your shoulder when they bring this new quarterback in, if you’re looking over your shoulder every day, you’re in the wrong line of work. If you really want to prove your critics wrong, go out and perform at a high level. Use this as a motivation to tick yourself off to play the game at a level you have yet to play it at and let the chips fall where they may after that.”
