The Flyers will be without Andrew MacDonald when they take on the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night, in what is nothing short of a huge game for the team. The Flyers made the announcement on Monday. General manager Ron Hextall said that MacDonald will miss Wednesday’s game due to an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day.

Things are about to get real for the Flyers because they have four games left in the regular season and all will be played in a five game span. The Flyers now only have six healthy defensemen. They’re 39-26-13 on the season and only one game ahead of the Boston Bruins for the second Wildcard spot.
Wednesday’s game will be played in Detroit at 8:00 P.M.
