Sam Bradford requested a trade from the Eagles last Monday, and despite the team listening to offers and counteroffering with what’s probably an offer they know no NFL team will agree to, they don’t plan on moving Bradford at all.
That was the word coming from the Denver Broncos yesterday, who gave up trying to trade for him and instead drafted quarterback Paxton Lynch with the 26th overall pick in the NFL Draft in the first round. Publicly, both Eagles head coach, Doug Pederson, and Howie Roseman have said that Bradford is their guy. They said the same thing again yesterday.
Pederson spoke with CSN Philly’s Derrick Gunn yesterday, via NBC10, and addressed the Bradford situation, and Roseman did after they drafted Carson Wentz. Both Pederson and Roseman are pushing the same concept – it’s only April. Things will eventually work themselves out. Eventually, Bradford will stop pouting in the corner and put on his big boy pants and realize that even though this is America, you still have to, you know, earn a paycheck.
