After this scary collision with the boards during Game 4 on Wednesday night, Scott Laughton was stretchered off the ice and was sent to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. It didn’t look good at all. Thankfully, the tests performed on Laughton all came back negative, and he was released from the hospital yesterday.
Flyers general manager, Ron Hextall, issued the following statement:
Scott was released from the hospital and is doing well. However, he will not accompany the team to Washington and we will have an update in the next couple of days.”
The Flyers take on the Capitals tonight in Game 5 and try to stave off elimination one more time.
