The Flyers are fighting for their playoff lives tonight at the Wells Fargo Center against the Washington Capitals. But there was a scary moment in the first period that saw Scott Laughton falling into the boards awkwardly and lay motionless on the ice as play was stopped.
Here’s what happened:
It didn’t look like a dirty hit or shove from John Carlson. It just looked like an unfortunate accident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott and his family.
UPDATE: From the Flyers:
Scott Laughton has been transported to Jefferson Hospital for precautionary reasons. We'll give an update as soon as possible.

Glad to see he is ok after he didn’t move for a while on the ice.
