Donnie Football might have some competition come training camp this summer.
The Eagles signed former New York Jets punter Ryan Quigley to a one-year contract on Monday.
Quigley spent the last three seasons with the Jets and averaged 45.1 yards per punt while depositing 31.6 percent of his kicks inside the 20-yard line. Donnie Jones, meanwhile, has posted 45.0 yards per punt over the last three years and put an even better 39 percent of his boots inside the 20.
Jones is 36 years old and Quigley could just be a camp leg, but if the Eagles want to start thinking about the future maybe the undrafted Quigley wins the job.
This changes everything when looking at the schedule for next season.
