The Philadelphia Eagles signed guard Matt Tobin to a two-year contract Monday, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan, and made a flurry of moves Tuesday.

Tobin started 13 games at right guard last season after Andrew Gardner suffered a season-ending foot injury early on in the year. He also started seven games in 2014 due to a rash of injuries on the offensive line. Tobin was originally brought in by Chip Kelly as an undrafted rookie in 2013.
The 25-year-old was set to make $1.67 million this season, but the new deal will lower Tobin’s cap number for 2016.
Tobin will be among a plethora of candidates in the Training Camp competition for the starting left guard spot, which includes Allen Barbre, Stefen Wisniewski and rookie third-rounder Isaac Seumalo.
