The Richie Ashburn-Harry Kalas Foundation, which began in 1998 after Richie Ashburn passed away, will have its annual dinner on Thursday, May 19th, Morton’s steakhouse restaurant in in Center City hosts the dinner beginning at 6:30 P.M.
The dinner will provide an open bar and souvenirs, and a chance to mingle with some of the Phillies players, current and former. Maikel Franco, Odubel Herrera, and Pete Mackanin are just a few of the current Phillies that will be on hand.
However, one guy will be there that many people may still have some vitriol for, and that’s former Phillies general manager, Ruben Amaro, Jr. Former announcers Gary Matthews and Chris Wheeler will also be on hand.
