Eric Lindros and Pat Quinn Named into the Hockey Hall of Fame

Eric Lindros had to wait six years, but it’s finally his time.

Lindros and former Philadelphia Flyers coach Pat Quinn were named into the Hockey Hall of Fame Monday, along with Sergei Makarov and Rogie Vachon.

Lindros was a one-time Hart Trophy winner and finished in the top 10 of the voting five times. Hampered by concussions for a lot of his 13-year career, Lindros played in over 70 games just four times, but still racked up 865 points and 372 goals in 760 career games.

Quinn, who passed away in 2014, coached the Flyers from 1978-82 and went 141-73-48, which included a 35-game unbeaten streak in 1979-80. During his 15-year coaching career, Quinn won a pair of Coach of the Year awards and guided the 1980 Flyers and 1994 Vancouver Canucks to the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be on Nov. 14 in Toronto.
