Ryan led the Chicago Bears to the Super Bowl title in 1985 as the team’s defensive coordinator – possibly coaching the best defense in the history of the NFL. As the head coach of the Eagles, Ryan didn’t win a playoff game but he was enamored for his brash personality and Philadelphia fell in love with him. He was revered in this city until the day he died, and he always will be.
…
That’s not the only sad news, however. Pat Summitt, who had been battling Alzheimer’s and was in grave condition the last few days, passed away at 64.
