It’s been a crazy day. Nelson Agholor was accused of rape, and then a report came out that an incident at Cheerleaders involving Agholor was as a result of a money dispute with a certain dancer he went into a private room with. According to Philly Mag, Agholor’s attorney, Fortunato Perri, Jr., released the following statement via email:
Nelson has not engaged in any criminal conduct. We’re confident that he will not be charged with a crime.”
Connor Barwin, who was with Agholor and fellow teammate Fletcher Cox at Cheerleaders before the alleged incident occurred. also released the following statement, also courtesy of Philly Mag.
As a result of my name being mentioned in conjunction with this alleged incident, I would like to clarify that I was only present at the establishment for a very short period of time and have no knowledge about anything that happened after I left the establishment. I stopped by there for about a half hour to meet my teammates, and left at around 2:30 pm.”
We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
UPDATE: Cox also released a statement late Friday night regarding the incident.

If the tweet doesn’t show up:
Although I was at the establishment with my teammates on Thursday, I want to make it clear I had no involvement in the alleged incident.”
