A lot of Eagles content gets published each day, so here’s a recap of your Eagles news from this past week.
I really hope the 2017 NFL Draft rumors aren’t a tease. Bob Brady better not be blowing smoke up our asses because I want to go.
Even though the Eagles don’t have a first round pick, this is one on the bucket list. It’s amazing that I never went when the draft was annually held in New York City for all those years before the NFL decided to move it around the country. The draft has been in Chicago the last two years.
The city of Philadelphia and NFL have not confirmed anything as of yet. The last draft to be held in Philadelphia was in 1961 at the Warwick Hotel. Los Angeles is reportedly the other city in the running to host the draft and coincidentally, the Rams don’t own a first round pick either.
It’s all Sam Bradford’s fault.
On to the links:
Is the 2017 NFL Draft really coming to Philadelphia? Brady, a U.S. representative from Philadelphia, says so.
The Detroit Lions cut linebacker Stephen Tulloch earlier this week and I think it’s a no-brainer that the Eagles should sign him. The trio of Jordan Hicks, Nigel Bradham and Mychal Kendricks have never gone through an entire season without getting hurt and there’s no depth behind them.
Who’s going to step up at wide receiver behind Jordan Matthews? I believe it’ll be Rueben Randle.
Passing camp in San Diego is underway. Bradford, Carson Wentz, Jordan Matthews, Zach Ertz, Rueben Randle, T.J. Graham, Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, Chris Givens and Chase Daniel are doing more than just bond on the field. A handful of teammates took to the ocean for some paddle boarding Monday.
Two Eagles made Sports Illustrated’s most hybrid players list, check out who they were.
Eagles center Jason Kelce claims that he did not post a threatening tweet to Hillary Clinton via Twitter early Friday morning. It was the second time he’s been hacked in the last few weeks, with his Instagram account previously getting hacked.
We’ve made it to the playoffs in the latest installment of my Doug Pederson play calling series and it was his best performance to date. Check out how he did against the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round.
