A lot of us thought Sixers ownership made the wrong move trying to bring the Colangelos in, and that ultimately ended with Sam Hinkie resigning. I miss him, but I understand the issue of maybe there was never an end in sight for his plan. Maybe Bryan Colangelo is a guy that takes the team from a laughingstock to respectable. Maybe? Who knows.
But Joel Embiid misses him some Sam Hinkie. Hinkie showed his, um, acumen (?) in drafting Embiid third overall two years ago despite his navicular fracture in his foot, of which he needed a second surgery to take care of it last year. But Hinkie seemed to stick by him through the last couple years, and Embiid didn’t let it go unnoticed. Which is why he posted this on his Instagram just moments ago.

Indeed, Joel. Indeed. The GOAT!
I wonder how the current Sixers general manager feels about this…
