Last month, Nelson Agholor was accused of sexually assaulting a dancer at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club. The subsequent investigation was sent to the District Attorney’s office. Late Thursday night, Les Bowen reported that he was told Agholor will not be charged in the incident.
A source close to the situation, though not involved in the investigation, said Thursday that he was told Agholor will not be charged. The source also said an announcement to that effect was near.
An NJ.com report Thursday said District Attorney Seth Williams is expected to decide on charges against Agholor on Friday – after an investigation by Philadelphia police determined no charges were warranted. A spokesman for the DA told the Daily News and Inquirer that no announcement was scheduled.
There were various reports after the accusations were made public that said sources closed to Agholor claimed he was being “set up.” We should soon have answers.
