An Update on the Nelson Agholor Sexual Assault Allegations

The Nelson Agholor sexual assault case is now in the hands of District Attorney Seth Williams, according to a report by Philadelphia Magazine.

Agholor was accused of raping a dancer at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club on June 9th at around 3:00 P.M. Agholor, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and defensive end Connor Barwin visited the club after the Eagles had wrapped up their final mandatory mini camp practice.

“The (investigative) package has been sent to the D.A.’s Office for their review,” Police Commissioner Richard Ross said via Philly Mag on Thursday night. Ross didn’t comment on the matter any further and Williams’ spokeswoman Jennifer Jones said the office wouldn’t comment on the investigation.

Agholor’s attorney, Fortunato “Fred” Perri Jr., remains adamant that his client did not commit a crime.

“We’ve been in touch with the investigators, but I can’t comment on the progress of the investigation,” Perri told Philly Mag. “It’s always difficult when something like this happens. (Agholor) has been staying close with his family and doing the best he possibly can.”

Les Bowen, Howard Eskin and Benjamin Allbright tweeted on June 10th that Agholor might’ve been set up.
