With the MLB trade deadline approaching tomorrow, two other teams have amped up their pursuit of the Jeremy Hellickson. Despite not having a great performance last night in Atlanta, Hellickson is still a highly sought after starting pitcher that could bolster any team’s rotation. And, according to Jon Morosi, that could be the rotations of either the Orioles or Giants.
The Marlins seemed to be at the forefront, but after they traded for Andrew Cashner and Colin Rea, they’re no longer a suitor [UPDATE: Rea landed on the DL today, so the Marlins might still be looking]. Vince Velasquez also seems to be on the market as he approaches the innings limit the Phillies had for him going into the season.
