Aaron Nola was set to start tonight against the Giants in the second game of their series, but alas, he won’t. Nola hit the disabled list moments ago with a right elbow strain.
The Phillies say Aaron Nola has a strained right elbow. He has been struggling since June. Phils had said he was healthy.

He’s struggled in his last handful of starts, so this isn’t exactly a surprise.
UPDATE: As many have pointed out, this could be it for Nola this season. It could also be the reason why Matt Klentak didn’t rush to trade Jeremy Hellickson before Monday’s deadline.
