The NFL is moving closer to eliminating the kickoff, with touchbacks now taking place at the 25-yard line instead of the 20 in an attempt to reduce kickoff returns and injuries. The rule change was made in March. It’s a second move in the last five years on the return after the league moved kickoffs from the 30-yard line to the 35 in 2011.
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson explained what he’s been doing in practice to help the team adjust to it.
