Zach Ertz wasn’t happy with several low hits from the defense last week. And now, it’s clear to see why he told reporters that guys “need to be professionals” while hitting during practice because Jordan Matthews is lost for at least a few weeks because of a low hit.
Doug Pederson said today that Matthews is expected to miss several weeks and hopes for him to return for the third preseason game in Indianapolis against the Colts.
The Eagles could ill afford to lose Matthews for an extended period of time given the huge questions marks on offense already during training camp.
