It’s All-In Town in Allentown and the Philadelphia Soul lived up to that moniker by gambling on the opening kickoff Sunday night.
The Soul cashed in, recovering an onside kick.
Darius “Money” Reynolds hauled in three of Dan Raudabaugh’s eight touchdown passes and the top-seeded Soul moved on to the American Conference Championship Game next Sunday night following a 63-41 beatdown of the Tampa Bay Storm.
Raudabaugh, who backed up Ben Roethlisberger when he was at Miami of Ohio, threw for 234 yards on 22-of-33 efficiency for Philadelphia, which will host the conference title game against the Jacksonville Sharks.
Philly quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead before Tampa Bay stormed back with a pair of scores to tie it, but three straight Soul touchdowns after that put the game out of reach early in the third quarter with Shaun Kauleinamoku’s eight-yard score making it 35-14. It was the first of three touchdown receptions for him.
Reynolds caught seven balls for 98 yards, while Kauleinamoku adding 77 yards on seven catches.
The Soul are playing their playoff games at the PPL Center with the Wells Fargo Center being shut down due to the Democratic National Convention.
