It’s expected that the NFL will officially announce that next year’s draft will be coming to Philadelphia sometime this week. We’ll have that confirmation when it’s been, well, confirmed. But 2017 might not be the only year Philly gets to host the draft.
Dave Spadaro said on FOX 29’s Sports Sunday with Howard Eskin last night that he believes the deal that will land Philly the NFL Draft next year will also land them the honors to host it again in 2018.
As Spadaro notes, while the Eagles don’t currently have a first-round draft selection next season, they do in 2018. So maybe it’s not a lost cause. Then again, he says it’s not officially official, but would Spadaro lie to us?
The NFL Draft was held in Chicago the last two years, and New York City’s Radio City Music Hall the previous nine years.
