The World Cup of Hockey is just over a month away, and today ESPN released the schedule for the tournament that will be held in Toronto beginning September 17. The United States will play in the first game in group play against Europe and then play September 20 against Canada before ending group play against the Czech Republic on September 22. But the Under 23 North American team is where we’ll keep our eyes peeled, for sure.
The Flyers will be represented by eight players: Claude Giroux (Canada); Jakub Voracek, Radko Gudas, and Michal Neuvirth (Czech Republic); Sean Couturier and Shayne Gostisbehere (U23 North America); Mark Streit and Pierre-Édouard Bellemare (Europe).
Here’s a condensed version of the schedule, via Broad Street Hockey’s Travis Hughes.
