Annually, Apple releases new products and the masses flock. On September 7th, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook took to the stage to outline the new unique features in this season’s Apple Watch, iPad , and the new generation iPhone. iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus created quite stir with their water-resistant, quirky new ear buds, increased battery life, new jet black color, and more.
Watch the presentation here:
The new phones are virtually identical in size as their 6s and 6s Plus predecessors. There is a 25 percent brighter “HD Retina” display and the 3D Touch technology has been innovated. The screen of the phone will now subtly tremble or buzz when pressured. The home button is obsolete. It has become a pressure-sensitive circular slab. Apps will also be able to giving off various levels of light and strong trembles named “taptic feedback” for compression responses.
The water-resistant feature has been prevalent in several other phones but has finally made its way to the iPhone. The front camera has the same 12-megapixel lens but the aperture is bigger which increases picture stability. There is now another 56mm telephoto lens on the back with extra zoom. The front-facing camera is 5 mega pixels. New hardware also comes with another speaker aligning the device. There will be speakers on both the bottom and top of the phone to give you an all-around stereo experience. The iPhone lasts up to 12 hours and the iPhone 7 Plus lasts 14 hours when engaging in LTE browsing.
Internal rundown:
- A10 Fusion chip (64-bit, quad-core processor which is up to 40 percent faster than the A9)
- Storage: 32GB, 128GB, 256GB
- Colors: Rose Gold, Gold, Silver, Jet Black, and Matte Black (jet black is only available in 128GB and 256GB phones).
The new features served as a beacon for Apple’s devoted and passionate fan-base. Preorders were made available September 9th at midnight. A crazed frenzy ensued, as serves crashed, people began jostling with their carrier services, and reconciling themselves with the state of their bank accounts.
