Want to celebrate New Years in a big way this year, but don’t want to be one of the sheep flocking to times square? Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, one of the holiday’s most hallowed traditions and entering it’s 45th year, is coming to Atlantic City. Well, a satellite concert is at least.
The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority informed Action News last week that Boardwalk Hall will host a concert airing on the live broadcast of Dick Clark’s program, airing on ABC.
Although no details have yet been released about who’ll be performing or how to attend, the concert will logically begin on the 31st and run into the early hours of the new year. Any speculation about who will be performing is just that – speculation. There’s no real hunch as to who will kick off the New Year at Boardwalk Hall, a venue which can hold over 10,000.
Atlantic City, according to Action News, will also be part of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve in 2018 and 2019. AC is already host to the Miss America contest, which is also produced by Dick Clark.
