Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson announced Friday that tight end Zach Ertz and cornerback Leodis McKelvin have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pederson did say that both players should be “ready to go” after the bye week.
“The bye week kind of hits us at a good time, for those two, especially,” Pederson said. “I’m prepared for him and Leo both to be ready to go after the break.”
Ertz suffered a displaced rib in the season opener, while McKelvin strained his hamstring in the 29-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Isaac Seumalo, who is still feeling the effects from a pectoral strain from the preseason, is also not playing Sunday.
Linebacker Mychal Kendricks, however, will play. He broke his nose and bruised his thigh during Monday night’s 29-14 win over the Chicago Bears.
