The Philadelphia 76ers are going to keep playing it safe with their prized big man.
Center Joel Embiid will not travel to Indiana for the Sixers’ game against the Pacers on Wednesday night due to what the team is calling “load management.”

To clear everything up, Embiid is not injured, according to CSN Philly’s Jessica Camerato.
Embiid isn't traveling to Indy, will stay in Philly for individualized workouts. This is based on workload, schedule. Not bc of an injury.

Brown on Embiid: "In this particular case, it's the volume of games that have gone on and are coming up."

A frustrated Embiid wants to play, but understands the decision.
“It’s frustrating, but they care about me,” Embiid said via CSN Philly. I think it’s going to help me a lot down the road. Whatever how many years I’m going to play – 15, 20 years – it’s really going to help me down the road. They care about me. It’s frustrating, I want to play, but it is what it is.”
Embiid leads the Sixers with 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game over 21.4 minutes per contest. He also leads the NBA in 3-point shooting at 66.7 percent.
So that means we’ll have to wait another day to see this.
