Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff was arrested on the Walt Whitman Bridge Tuesday morning for DUI, marijuana and gun possession, which did not have a permit in New Jersey, and a magazine that contained six hollow-point bullets.
Huff explained why he owns a gun during a meeting with reporters on Wednesday.
When asked if Huff will play this Sunday against the New York Giants during his press conference Wednesday, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson stated “As of right now, yes.”
“Until I find out exactly the severity of it and what’s going to happen down the road, right now nothing, and we’ll take it one day at a time,” Pederson said. “It’s out of our hands. It’s a legal matter right now. And we’ll get more information on it.”
The 25-year-old Huff has 13 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown to go along with a 98-yard kickoff return for a score this season. His 36.0 yards per kick return leads the NFL.
