Leodis McKelvin got burned again for another deep touchdown on Sunday and provided some more awesome quotes for the press after the game.
The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback McKelvin, who was hobbled by a not-100 percent hamstring, commented on Taylor Gabriel’s 76-yard TD catch along the right sideline, which left McKelvin burnt to a crisp.
“I was in this coverage, and s— opened up so wide, I said he fittin’ to sit this (expletive) down and curl. I’m fittin’ to jump this s— and make a play. Ahhhh s—, wrong time. Wrong time. It was the wrong time for me to do that,” McKelvin said.
The score gave the Atlanta Falcons a 15-13 advantage with 13:15 left in the first quarter, their first lead of the game.

The quote came a week after McKelvin spoke poorly of his play during the Eagles’ 28-23 loss to the New York Giants.

McKelvin is going to have to step up his game if Nolan Carroll is out or an extended period of time following the concussion he sustained in Sunday’s game. The cornerback position is scarcely thin as it is.
