Malcolm Jenkins has become a fan-favorite for the Eagles since joining the team in 2014. He’s also not one to stop short of saying whatever he wants to say, and he did so today when talking about the Eagles releasing Josh Huff. Jenkins thinks it’s more of a distraction than Huff’s actual arrest. [ESPN]
“I think this is more of a distraction than Josh actually getting in trouble, to be honest. If you walked into the locker room yesterday, we were status quo, we were moving on. But obviously now it’s a lot different feel.”
I said on Twitter yesterday the Eagles should have disciplined Huff because he was actually charged with a crime [more than one, actually], but I didn’t expect them to release him. I don’t think a release was necessary, but Huff’s release will probably not leave a lasting effect on this team moving forward.
