After missing Wednesday’s practice, Jordan Matthews (ankle) was seen on the field for Thursday’s session, but Darren Sproles has still not cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Thursday Injury Report
DNP: G Barbre (hamstring), LB Grugier-Hill (illness), RB D Sproles (concussion), T Vaitai (knee)— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) December 15, 2016
Matthews injured his ankle against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 and didn’t play a week later against the Cincinnati Bengals before suiting up last week against the Washington Redskins, catching eight passes for 79 yards. Sproles, of course, took this vicious hit to the head by Deshazor Everett while fielding a punt.

Another notable name who didn’t practice was Allen Barbre (hamstring). If he can’t go on Sunday, rookie Isaac Seumalo will start at right tackle. Rookie Halapoulivaati Vaitai is still not back at practice either since injuring his knee against the Seattle Seahawks and Matt Tobin is on injured reserve, also with a knee injury.
The depth at tackle is dwindling.
