Fantasy Football: Week 15 Stars and Stiffs, Triple Threat Plays

Rosters should be finalized and Week 1 of the playoffs is in the books. Where do you stand? Guys like Melvin Gordon and Matt Forte went down, while Drew Brees has decided to switch places with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Will someone please get him a ticket for the Steve Urkel time machine quickly!?

Either way you slice it, the playoffs are always an intense set of matchups that no one can predict. All you can do is take your best shot and hope you last longer than Pat Benatar. Was that too rough?

As always, I look forward to your opinions and feedback. You can tweet me with any questions (@TCutillo23and leave your comments below. For my statistical hounds out there I will put last week’s stats in parentheses so you can see how I performed. Here are my picks for the upcoming week.

WEEK 15 STARS (Last week: 6 out of 9)

QB: Matt Ryan (SF), Kirk Cousins (CAR)
RB: Devonta Freeman (SF), Latavius Murray (@SD), DeMarco Murray (@KC)
WR/TE: Jordy Nelson (@CHI), Jamison Crowder (CAR), Mike Wallace (PHI), Delanie Walker (@KC)

WEEK 15 STIFFS (Last week: 6 out of 8)

QB: Eli Manning (DET), Ben Roethlisberger (@CIN)
RB: Isaiah Crowell (@BUF), Frank Gore (@MIN), Lamar Miller (JAC)
WR/TE: Willie Snead (@ARZ), DeAndre Hopkins (JAC), Donte Moncrief (@MIN)

SLEEPERS (Last week: 1 out of 3)

Kenneth Dixon (PHI), Doug Martin (@DAL), Marqise Lee (@HOU)

BUST ALERT (Last week: 3 out of 3)

Randall Cobb (@CHI), Martellus Bennett (@DEN), Tyrod Taylor (CLE)

WEEK 15 TRIPLE THREAT

Aaron Rodgers (@CHI) It’s playoff time and you always go with the well-known commodity. The Chicago Bears are done and Mr. Rodgers is playing like the MVP we all know he is. The only place colder than Chicago is Green Bay. Aaron will have no problem carving up the hapless Bears no matter how low the temperature is!

Devonta Freeman (SF) – Did you see Bilal Powell’s numbers from last week? This 49ers tem is the laughing stock of the NFL and anyone who plays them is guaranteed to tee off on their porous defense. Freeman might not even break a sweat this week.

Michael Crabtree (@SD) – Crabtree has been the most reliable receiver for the Oakland Raiders and the only thing that has slowed him up has been Derek Carr’s finger. With another week of healing and a questionable defensive opponent, the stage is set for a monster game!
