Just a day after becoming engaged to his girlfriend, Claude Giroux became engaged to winning hockey games in overtime. Yep, I’m particularly proud of that opening sentence.
Despite the absence of the “WOO!” from the Ottawa crowd, Giroux scored once in regulation and the overtime winner to propel the Flyers to a 3-2 comeback win after being down 2-0.
It was pretty impressive, and the Flyers dominated a lot of the game. It was good to see. Here’s Giroux scoring and then talking about it.
