Shayne Gostisbehere has taken Philadelphia by storm. Ever since his Flyers debut last season, he’s showed flashes on the ice of why he was so highly touted by the Flyers and their fans. So, why not capitalize on that in this here great country of ours?
The Conshohocken Brewing Company, trumpeted by noted Flyers enthusiast and WIP host, Glen Macnow, has made a beer that will quickly become one of the hottest selling items locally – at least just for the name. The Ghost Bear Golden Ale – yep, 100% a play off of Gostisbehere’s nickname Ghost Bear – will be available at both of their locations beginning this Friday, December 9.
The locations are: 739 E. Elm St, Conshohocken, PA [Tap Room] and 3 Dekalb St, Bridgeport, PA [Brewpub]
It’ll be available in cans and also on draft at both locations as well.

On Friday, at Bottle Bar East in Fishtown, the creator of the ale, Andrew Horne, will be on hand from 5 P.M. – 7 P.M.
For legal purposes, a Ghost representative released the following statement: “Shayne Gostisbehere has not endorsed, authorized nor is he affiliated with the beer product. It has been created without his knowledge or permission.”
I mean, unless he specifically has licensed “Ghost Bear,” I’m not sure he is in a position to authorize the product. Not that it matters. It’ll probably sell out the first night.
