New York needs an offensive coordinator following the retirement of Chan Gailey.
The 38-year-old DeFilippo joined the Eagles’ staff last January when Doug Pederson was hired as the head coach. DeFilippo had been the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns in 2014 and does have previous experience working with the Jets. He was their quarterbacks coach in 2009 when Mark Sanchez was a rookie. DeFilippo was also the Oakland Raiders’ quarterbacks coach from 2007-08 and again from 2012-14 when he helped out Derek Carr.
