Unfortunately for the many fans who took the bus ride down to D.C. for the game – made possible by the people over at the RTRS Podcast – they wouldn’t get to see Embiid. And Twitter user Shamus Clancy summed it up pretty perfectly:
Imagine taking a bus for two hours only to see Jahlil Okafor start.

Someone was paying attention to that. Or they just did a quick Twitter search of “Jahlil Okafor.” That someone? Jahlil Okafor’s father. And he had a rather terse reply to Clancy. [Screenshot via SI.com]
A few hours later, Okafor’s father would claim he was hacked.

For what it’s worth, Okafor scored 26 points in 35 minutes to go along with nine rebounds. The Sixers lost, 109-93.
