Joel Embiid didn’t make the All-Star Game.
Yes, it’s ridiculous.
The reserves for the game were announced Thursday and were voted on by the coaches. Embiid, along with Dario Saric and Jahlil Okafor, were selected to play in the Rising Stars Challenge, which features the best first- and second-year players.
That means no date for Embiid.
Well I guess the date is not gonna happen ha…. And that dude on tv clearly hates me for no reason lmao #BigGoof #TrustTheProcess

Once again the popular vote didn’t matter……

The Indiana Pacers’ Paul George, Atlanta Hawks’ Paul Millsap and Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love were named the reserves in the frontcourt.
George and Love, fine, but Embiid should be in ahead of Millsap, who is averaging 18.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Embiid has him beat in points (19.8 points) and plays nine fewer minutes per contest. He also makes a much bigger impact on the defensive end. Embiid’s per 36 totals are staggering, 28.3 points and 11.2 rebounds.
I agree with Charles Barkley, the Philadelphia 76ers and Embiid should’ve been rewarded.
Charles Barkley on TNT: “I thought the NBA should have rewarded Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.”

Embiid was attempting to become the first rookie since Blake Griffin in 2011 and 46th overall to be named an All-Star.
Despite all of the efforts and Vote Joel Embiid tweets, he was also not named a starter for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game last week. LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jimmy Butler were voted into the frontcourt, while Kyrie Irving and DeMar DeRozan got the nod in the backcourt. The voting is made up of fan votes, which is 50 percent, while the players and media receive 25 percent of the vote. Had the frontcourt starters been named based on fan voting only like it had been in the past, Embiid would’ve been the third man in behind James and the Greek Freak.
