If the Eagles don’t find a way to extend defensive tackle Bennie Logan, he could find himself a new home for next season, and not too far away. According to a report from NJ Advance Media’s Mark Eckel, Logan will be targeted by the Washington Redskins, who could possibly have $60 million to spend this off-season. [NJ.com]
And although that is roughly six weeks away, rumors are starting to swirl. According to a person with knowledge of the Washington Redskins’ plan, the Redskins will target Logan if he hits the open market.
The person requested anonymity from NJ Advance Media because he was not authorized to speak on the subject.
The Eagles, of course, could re-sign Logan before he even becomes a free agent. Logan ended the 2016 season with two and a half sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble return and 16 total tackles.
Our Eagles reporter, Adrian Fedkiw, will be looking at free agency options for the Birds as we approach March 9th.
