The 2016 All-Star outfielder is set to represent Venezuela, as will shorstop Freddy Galvis and pitchers Jeanmar Gomez and Edubray Ramos.
Jorge Alfaro, the exciting catching prospect who saw some time in September, will play for Colombia. Other Phillies taking part in the WBC are relievers Pat Neshek (United States) and Hector Neris (Dominican Republic) and prospects Kenny Koplove (Israel), Nick Fanti (Italy) and Nick Pivetta (Canada).
