Joel Embiid will miss his ninth straight game tonight as the Sixers take on the Miami Heat at the Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 P.M. But, last night, the Sixers’ prized star looked pretty good while dancing on stage at a Meek Mill concert in South Philadelphia.

And hours before this, Bryan Colangelo went on the local sports talk radio airwaves and talked about how Embiid’s knee was recovering and why it’s been necessary to keep him out of games recently. Only… does it look like he needs to be kept out of games? I’ll let you decide.

Ultimately, I don’t see this as a big concern. Embiid’s got that personality that makes this sort of thing almost not surprising. When he was sitting out the last two years, we got a glimpse of the type of personality he has at times, but nothing to the extent of when he began playing games this season. Dancing at a concert it likely the least of my concerns, if there even are any. Of course, there will be some that frown upon this sort of thing and will be ready to fire vitriol at the Sixers because they know Embiid’s knee looks good and they’re just holding him out until Ben Simmons gets into the lineup.
Conspiracies anyone? They’re delicious.
