1. Restaurant Weeks Coming to an End
Where: Several restaurants along East Passyunk and in King of Prussia
When: Friday, March 10th-Sunday, March, 13th, various times
East Passyunk Restaurant Week comes to and end this Friday. Several locations offered pre-fixe three course speciality menus for your tasting pleasure. Restaurant Week in King of Prussia titled “dineKOP” runs through Sunday, March 12th. This regional area will be serving up high-end lunch and dinner specials which will be the culinary highlight of your weekend.

2. Slash Fiction Show
Where: The Taproom, 427 W Crystal Lake Ave. Haddonfield, NJ
When: Friday, March 10th, 7:30PM
The Slash Fiction world Championships take place this Friday night in Haddonfield, NJ. This is a fan fiction contest that has an amateur round and a professional round. Tickets are $5 and will get you access to an evening to the original work of over 10 writers ready to belt out their creative and steamy work.

3. Cirque Du Soleil: Toruk
Where: Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St.
When: Runs through Sunday, March 12th, various times
Prepare yourselves for this fantastic display of athleticism and acrobatics as Cirque Du Soliel: Toruk-The First Flight comes to the Wells Fargo Center this weekend. Inspired by the blockbuster feature Avatar, this spectacle will have wondrous costumes, enhanced technology, and unbelievable performers. Come see the breathtaking imagery and be wowed by the drama.

4. Franklin Institute Camp-In
Where: The Franklin Institute, 222 N. 2oth St.
When: Friday, March 10th, 6:15PM-9:30AM
The Franklin Institute is offering up an exclusive opportunity to have a science and adventure filled sleepover. There will be science shows, workshops, and stargazing on the spanning rooftop. You will also have the opportunity to view the various exhibits in the building. For Franklin Institute Members the fee is $39.50. For non-members the cost is $49.50. Pack your sleeping bags and get ready for a night of exploration.

5. Ian Bagg
Where: Punch Line Philly, 33 E Laurel St.
When: Friday, March 10th, 8PM & 10:15PM and Saturday, March 11th, 7:30PM & 9:45PM
Canadian comedian Ian Bagg comes to Punch Line Philly this weekend. He’s performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival, had a Comedy Now special on CTV, and has been seen on many other platforms. Bragg has also appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and more. Come see him this weekend for some laughs and a fun night out.

6. Monster Mania 36
Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel, 2349 Marlton Pike W. Cherry Hill, NJ
When: Saturday, March 11th, 8am
Prepare for the stars of horror, action, and gore from the past in present to ascend on the area this weekend. Come in your best costume to see the like of John Cusack, Stranger Things cast members, Nick Castle, a Karate Kid cast reunion, and so many more. There will be discussion panels, signature and autograph sessions, and other activities.

7. World Culture Day: Hello India!
Where: Penn Museum, 3260 South St.
When: Saturday, March 11th, 11AM-4PM
Penn Museum showcases the esteemed and rich culture of India this Saturday. Home to over 1.3 billion people, this nation is booming with art, entertainment, savory cuisine, spiritual and religious fervor, and more. The museum will have many activities including sari wrapping, music and dance performances, language workshops, cooking demonstrations, yoga, films, crafts, games, and so much more.

8. Macy’s Family Fun AAMP
Where: The African American Museum, 701 Arch St.
When: Saturday, March 11th, 10AM
This family-friendly event explores culture, history, and more. Macy’s Family Fun Day continues its engaging series of programming and activities this weekend. Guest will be able to tour the museum, explore exhibits, and experience a refreshing artistic showcase and more each second Saturday of the month. Entry is $14 for adults, $12 for students, and its free for children 10 and under.

9. Philadelphia Flower Show
Where: Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch St.
When: Saturday, March 11th-Sunday March 19th, various times
The best in floral and landscape presentations and displays will consume the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the next week. This year’s show, with a creative Holland theme, will have its signature 1,000 plus butterfly experience, a tea room, and of course endless and beautifully assorted and arranged flowers. There will also be a Flowers After Hours Party on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m.

10. Boathouse Row Block Party
Where: Boathouse Row, 1 Boathouse Row
When: Saturday, March 11th, 6:45PM
The Schuylkill Navy Annual Boathouse Row Block Party is this Saturday. This tradition allows friends, neighbors, and families to get an inside glimpse into the 12 houses on Boathouse Row. There will be hors d’oevres, dinner, dessert, and signature cocktails. After the various activities, dance the night away at the after party to end of the night. Tickets are $55 .

11. Irish Rock Megafest & Bus Crawl
Where: Monarch Beach Club, 1031 Germantown Ave.
When: Saturday, March 11th, 9AM
One of the biggest Irish bus crawls makes its stop in the City of Brotherly Love this Saturday. The buses will shuttle between Monarch and The Electric Factory all day for multiple activities. Tickets start at $20. There will be live music at locations, drink specials, and depending which ticket you purchase, free beer.

12. Union vs. Toronto FC
Where: Talen Energy Stadium, 1 Stadium Dr. Chester, PA
When: Saturday, March 11th, 4PM
The Philadelphia Union have their first home game of the season this Saturday. The opening game will have several new features including new food and drink menus at concession stands, enhanced banners for the match walk out, and the game ball will be delivered by a skydiver. Brauhaus Schmitz, at 718 South St, will have a party bus package for the game starting at $25.

13. Sting
Where: The Fillmore Philadelphia, 29 E. Allen St.
When: Saturday, March 11th, 8PM
Singer-Songwriter and Rock legend Sting will be taking over The Fillmore Philadelphia this Saturday night. He’s one of the world’s best-selling artists and has sold over 100 million records. In November 2016 Sting released the album 57th and 9th, songs from this work and many of his legendary hits will be on full display for The Fillmore Philadelphia crowd.

14. The Band Perry
Where: Theater of Living Arts, 334 South St.

Tennessee country group The Band Perry will do their best to rock the TLA crow this weekend. The band consists of lead vocalist Kimberly Perry, Reid Perry on bass guitar, and has Neil Perry on the drums. The “If I Die Young” hit makers will drop their first pop album this year titled My Big Imagination.

15. Vanessa Carlton
Where: World Café Live, 3025 Walnut St.
When: Saturday, March 11th, 8PM
Pennsylvania singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton journeys to World Café Live to sing her previous hits and possibly some new tracks this Saturday. She surged on the scene with her 2002 top 5 single “A Thousand Miles” and has never stopped making beautiful music. Come hear Carlton’s vocals and piano centered sound.

16. Philadelphia Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Where: Beginning at 15th & JFK.
When: Sunday, March 12th, 12PM-3PM
This annual parade will weave between Center City and Penn’s Landing. Airing on FOX29, this rain or shine cultural spectacle has been a signature of the city for 245 years. There will be over 20,00 participants, more than 200 groups involved, and plenty of activities. Attendees will see and hear live marching bands, dancers, and performers. Come see the costumes, pageantry, and images of a culture past and present. There will also be a Conshohocken parade at 2 p.m.

17. St. Patrick’s Festivities
Where: Bridget Foy’s, 200 South St.
When: Sunday, March 12th, 3PM
Bridget Foy’s will be hosting a sensational Saint Patrick’s Day themed event with live music, decorations, and plenty of drink specials. Irish music will be played by Connemara Codfish Company. The specialty menu will include beef stew, corned beef & cabbage, lamb burgers, and more. There will be Irish Whiskey tasting flights and several other in-theme cocktails.

18. Questlove

Philadelphia native musician and percussionist Questlove is no stranger to The Philadelphia Fillmore. When the venue opened, it was his precision and skills that christened the space. This Sunday he’ll bring his live sound, fantastic stage presence,DJ expertise, soul, and some special guests to liven up your Sunday evening.
