The writing is on the wall for Dorial Green-Beckham.
The disappointing wide receiver told Jeff McClane of Philadelphia Inquirer that he’s not seeing a lot of reps in practice.
I don’t really get a lot of opportunities at practice. But I feel like everything on my end is going pretty good.
It may not be looking good, but DGB is still trying to keep his head up.
I’m just going to approach it with a positive attitude. I know that doesn’t change anything for me, but I just love the competition.
Green-Beckham explained the type of immediate impact that new wide receivers coach Mike Groh is making.
Playing with him right now, just watching him at practice, the way he’s coaching me at practice, I just know he cares about his players. All he wants is the best of them.
DGB caught 36 balls for 392 yards and two touchdowns last year after putting up 549 yards and four scores on 32 receptions as a rookie with the Tennessee Titans. I don’t see him making this team unless severe injuries occur or one of the rookies disappoints immensely and is placed on the practice squad. The Eagles would have to pay to cut Nelson Agholor so I think he’s staying as well. As of right now, here are my six Eagles wide receivers that are going to make the roster …
- Alshon Jeffery
- Torrey Smith
- Jordan Matthews
- Nelson Agholor
- Mack Hollins
- Shelton Gibson
DGB is most likely not making this football team. He better hopes he impresses and somebody else is willing sign him to their roster after final cuts.
