Markelle Fultz was good in his Summer League debut against the Boston Celtics, but he was great against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.
The arsenal was on full display.
Fultz played 26 minutes against the Jazz, scoring 23 points on 9/16 shooting and 4/8 from 3 to go with five assists and five rebounds. Thirteen of those points came in a fourth-quarter barrage where the Philadelphia 76ers’ No. 1 pick nearly brought the team back for a 24-point deficit.
Although the Sixers lost 100-94, seeing that fight was encouraging. Jonah Bolden blocked three more shots and Furkan Korkmaz was 0-of-5 from the field in his debut, netting three points. Alex Poythress posted 17 points and eight rebounds, while Philly native Brandon Austin poured in 16 points.
