We know how close Carson Wentz and Jordan Matthews have gotten over the last year-plus. Matthews was one of Wentz’s favorite targets last season and seemed poised to put up some good numbers again with Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith by his side this coming season.
But, alas, Wentz won’t be throwing to Matthews this coming season, because Matthews was traded to the Buffalo Bills moments ago. Here’s Wentz’s reaction:
Crazy part of this business. @jmattjmattjmatt you'll always be my boy both on & off the field. Couldn't ask for a better teammate & friend.

It’s almost like The Rockers breakup. Only nobody was superkicked in the face.
Or thrown through a glass window.
Hey, I said almost like.
More Eagles also said goodbye to Matthews.
Love ya bro. Words can't describe the impact you've made on my life. Forever grateful and always interceding for ya @jmattjmattjmatt #3X
