Malcolm Jenkins has been very outspoken nationally on not only his national anthem protest, but also the way he’s joined the Philadelphia Police Department on a ride along and going to Congress to speak on social injustice and prison reform. He also called NFL owners cowards for not signing Colin Kaepernick. He’s not just “sticking to sports.”
And now, Jenkins has a teammate that wants to spread his message. Thursday night, Chris Long may have changed the narrative of the power of protest in the National Football League.
Today, Jenkins joined Bob Ley on ESPN’s Outside the Lines the speak on Long’s gesture Thursday night during the anthem and more. Here’s the entire segment.
