After the President of the United States ‘canceled’ the Super Bowl Champions’ White House trip yesterday evening, many wondered if the Eagles would put the suddenly free day to good use.
And that’s exactly what they’re doing. They’re going back to work.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are using today as an organized team activity day.
After being disinvited to the White House by Donald Trump, the #Eagles are holding an OTA day today instead, I’m told. They choose to put the suddenly free day to good use.

It’s actually a Phase 2 day for the #Eagles, with mostly individual on-field work. But still, back on the field https://t.co/AnF3Qsypgt

Now, this won’t play well… “on the other side.” Fox News already used images of Eagles players kneeling to pray during a montage discussing the canceled trip.

But, there are many more that think Ron Brooks kneeling for a preseason game indicts the entire team – and, no, Brooks was not on the 2017 Eagles Super Bowl squad.

UPDATE: Fox News issued an apology, but the damage is probably already done. People have seen it on television and will believe it regardless of an apology online. Maybe an on-air apology would’ve also been necessary.

"To clarify, no members of the team knelt in protest during the national anthem throughout regular or post-season last year. We apologize for the error." -Christopher Wallace, Executive Producer of FOX News @ Night with Shannon Bream (2 of 2)
