The Phillies finally added a bench bat in the form of New York Mets infielder Asdrubal Cabrera.
Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic was the first to report it.

Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia confirmed the report.

The Phillies gave up Franklyn Kilome, the Phillies’ tenth-ranked prospect. He’s a minor league pitcher who projects as a reliever. Cabrera is a nice depth piece for the Phillies offense as they make a push for the pennant.
